Il film che primeggia con ben 13 nomination è The Shape Of Water, mentre il film horror Get Out si aggiudica le nomination come miglior film, miglior regia, miglior attore protagonista e miglior sceneggiatura. Inoltre, Jordan Peele è il primo regista afro-americano ad aver ricevuto le nomination per la scrittura, la regia e la produzione del film.
