“Hi, I’m Michelle Obama”
Michelle Obama è sicuramente tra le donne e First Lady più amate di tutti i tempi. Non solo è stata la prima donna di colore a rivestire questo ruolo, ma anche un esempio di donna forte, indipendente, sicura di sé.
Le adolescenti e le donne afro americane e di tutto il mondo la considerano un esempio. Un vero e proprio role model da seguire e dal quale farsi ispirare.
Dopo la serie “American factory” su Netflix e, soprattutto, dopo la sua autobiografia “Becoming” (forse uno dei libri più venduti degli ultimi tempi) Michelle Obama, in collaborazione con Spotify, ha pubblicato da qualche giorno “The Michelle Obama Podcast”, una serie di conversazioni schiette e reali, che coinvolgono i suoi amici, la sua famiglia ed i suoi colleghi.
Ancor prima di pubblicare la primissima conversazione con suo marito, nonché ex POTUS Barack Obama, Michelle ha deciso di proporre una breve introduzione di 9:30 minuti intitolata: “Hi, I’m Michelle Obama”. L’ex First Lady racconta di sé stessa, della sua infanzia, fino ad arrivare al suo primo giorno alla Casa Bianca.
Il primo episodio non poteva che vedere come ospite Barack Obama. I coniugi si raccontano intimamente, come forse mai hanno fatto prima. Raccontano della loro vita e delle loro famiglie. Il primo elemento che sembra guidare la loro conversazione è il forte senso di rivalsa nei confronti della loro infanzia, dei sacrifici dei genitori ma anche dei luoghi in cui hanno vissuto.
Ascoltare le loro parole, con il loro tono di voce, è come essere accompagnati dolcemente e in modo semplice nella vita di qualcuno. 48 minuti di puro interesse, curiosità, complicità.
L’obbiettivo della serie di podcast è quello di far luce su tematiche importanti come la salute fisica e mentale, i ritmi della nostra società, la storia. L’intero podcast è stato costruito e pensato per essere un luogo dove porre domande, riflettere, aprirsi ed essere vulnerabili.
Saranno molti gli ospiti della prima stagione. Secondo quanto riportato dalla rivista Forbes, oltre a Barack Obama ci saranno anche Marian e Craig Robinson, madre e fratello di Michelle, il conduttore tv Conan O’Brien, Valerie Jarrett, consigliera di Obama durante la presidenza, la giornalista Michele Norris e la dottoressa Sharon Malone, moglie di Eric Holder, procuratore generale durante la presidenza Obama.
Che cosa dire se non che Michelle Obama si conferma sempre di più uno delle eroine dei nostri tempi?
