Last week we recounted the five must-have trends that will conquer the coming autumn-winter season.
But as everyone knows by now, fashion is dictated by the big designers who show their creations in increasingly memorable shows during the fashion weeks.
The main concepts are then extrapolated and made into more or less winning trends.
Here are five more:
Coloured tights
Inevitably the most colourful trend, coloured tights, which were inaugurated by Gucci and became a pivotal feature of the fashion show and extended to other catwalks such as those of Valentino, Ferragamo, Dolce&Gabbana, Sportmax and so on.

Long or short gloves
The quintessential winter accessory in the hands of Bottega Veneta and Gucci takes on a whole new allure, enshrining this trend. Born as a distinctive sign of the divas of yesteryear such as Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth, FW23/24 inherits it and in certain senses decontextualises it, now in bolder, now more casual combinations.

Metallic
A remarkable return of space-age in a modern key, metallic has conquered many catwalks with metallic garments such as skirts, trousers, dresses. We can say that metal is everywhere thanks also to the various techniques used to recreate its appearance, from sequins to PVC. Paco Rabanne is the first name to be associated with the trend, but in this FW23/24 we have names like Emporio Armani, AndreaAdamo and Jil Sander.

Grey
As evidence of how there can be conceptually opposite trends within the same season, we have coloured tights contrasted with total grey outfits. This simple and refined shade is enhanced by the total looks by Michael Kors, just as the more sophisticated cuts by AndreaAdamo and Balenciaga make it innovative.

Jumper
FW23/24 is a hymn to tailoring, but above all to classicism. The jumper is re-proposed with tights at Gucci, with a skirt at Prada and with a wide trouser at Max Mara. The key to the success of these garments is also the wide range of materials, from wool to cotton, from merino to cashmere, but also the more or less fine cuts that are enriched with three-dimensional embossing and carvings.
