Jacquemus arrives in Versailles

The iconic guests arrive at Louis XVI's palace wrapped in sensual lace

By

Simon Porte Jacquemus chose the palace of Versailles for his FW23/24 entitled “Le Chouchou”.

The show, as is always the case in the designer's house, is a hymn to France and this, will surely be remembered by guests, and by us, for the very topical connection to historical figures such as the King Sun and Marie Antoinette.

The prestigious guests were escorted to the location aboard “bateaux” whites created especially for the occasion.

The dresses on the catwalk go from tulle to mini crinoline, from long sleeves to white dresses. Affable shapes that become sensual through the transparency of the lace, which is also reflected in the stockings, framing elements of the heeled shoes and ballet-style pumps.

There is also no lack of references to Princess Diana, as we see in the necklace worn by Kendall Jenner who parades in a triumphant dress, as well as the “polka dot dress” that takes us back to British royal imagery.

Simon Porte combined present and past, creating as always a show to leave everyone speechless.
