Emma Watson joins board of Kering

The little Hermione has grown

By ,

This was announced by François-Henri Pinault, president and CEO of Kering, the arrival of Emma Watson and together with her of Jean Liu, CEO and founder of Didi Chuxing and Tidjane Thiam, ex CEO of Credit Suisse, on the board of directors of the French luxury giant.

Since the days of Hogwarts, alongside the iconics Harry and Ron, the wise Hermione has shown to have grown and the background has led to a double recognition: member of the Board of Kering and chairman of the Sustainability Committee of the group.

For a long time an activist, engaged in the defense of women’s rights and in the battle for sustainable fashion, Emma distinguished herself for several actions including the collaboration in 2011 with Alberta Ferretti which saw the creation of a sustainable collection inspired by the 60s/70s.

Pinault said he strongly believed in the potential of the three new members. The diversity of generations and skills, once again, promises success.
