Printed Pants Trend

From the 70s to today. What are your favorites?

By

The trend of printed trousers, a revival of the 70s and famous also in the 00s, is here to stay. In fact, trousers with prints, which have become increasingly popular in recent times, are now a must-have piece in the wardrobe.

The variety of prints and possible patterns makes them suitable for every personality: checkered or geometric for the more classic people, animalier or floral for those who love to experiment, tie dye for those who are more sporty, and so on. And then there are those who, like me, love to have them all and create different styles based on the mood of the day or event. Extremely versatile also from the point of view of occasions, in fact, we find ourselves in more elegant prints for the evening and in more basic versions to give a different touch to ordinary days.

It is true, now that we are often seated in front of a computer for our social interactions, we tend to not care about the lower part of clothing. After all, who can know if we have put on skirts, jeans, joggers or if we are still in pajamas, when they see us from the torso up? Despite this, the printed pants seem to survive even this test. Indeed, it is right now that we can be creative!

Printed pants can be combined in dozens of different ways. Generally, however, the influencers' approaches are three: color-block combination, fake random or a more classic combination. Among these, it is above all the boldest combinations that are successful, both on and off the catwalk. For example, colorful animalier slouchy trousers with a geometric sweater in a contrasting color. The key to the success of printed pants is that there really are all kinds.

Here are some examples:

Tie Dye

The tie dye print has recently returned to the catwalks after the success due to street style, thanks also to the fashion trend towards sporty looks with a vintage taste. But it is by no means limited to sportswear, on the contrary, more and more tie dye trousers are present in the collections.

Checkered

Checkered has a more classic appeal. The Vichy print is a typically French, but very popular in America in the 50s and 60s, which consequently provides a very retro chic touch to everyday looks. Checked tartan trousers are a different option with an almost opposite vibe: on the one hand American college in Clueless style, on the other punk in Cool Britannia style, depending on the rest of the outfit. As I told you, the choice is really vast.

Floreal

Flower power for those who want spring, with prints that more or less realistically recall nature. Particularly beautiful on flared or palazzo trousers, floral prints bring that hippy chic, sometimes boho touch to the look that makes us dream of being at Coachella.

Abstract/Geometric

This is the most widespread version of printed pants, not surprisingly icons like Missoni and Etro have made it a distinctive thing. Here too the range is really wide and they work in daytime as well as evening looks.

Animalier

No introduction is needed for this print which is already a popular trend in itself. Take a look not only at the different types of animalier, but also at the bolder colors, you will not regret it.

Logo

Finally the logo pants. Another great sub-category of successful printed pants, especially on the high fashion catwalks, where the logo mania is increasingly overwhelming and the logo pants are in demand.
