Congratulations Emily!

The announcement of the most expected pregnancy of all (?)

By

Last night, Emily Ratajkowski announced the very happy event of her first pregnancy. The wonderful news is the starting point of a project between the model and Vogue, of which she is this month’s digital cover star. Emily posed for the photographer Cass Bird, and for the camera of Lena Dunham, who made a touching and fresh video that tells the first months of her friend’s pregnancy. The visual part is accompanied by a long article by Emily herself, all focused on her reflections on the sex of the unborn child, on pregnancy as an intimate and solitary experience, on how the body changes with a sudden acceleration.

Emily is only 29, but in her career she has already explored so many different roles.

At just 22, she broke the MTV screen with the controversial video clip “Blurred Lines”, in which she danced naked alongside two colleagues and Robin Thicke, T.I and Pharrell.

She posed for the chicest and most mainstream magazines, actively protested against #metoo marching alongside thousands of other women, stepped into the (few) shoes of Ben Affleck's lover in the controversial “Gone Girl” and she also seduced Zac Efron in “We Are Your Friends”.

From Hollywood to magazines, passing through entrepreneurship: a couple of years ago she launched her Inamorata bikini line, of which she could only be the very sensual testimonial.

Nowadays Emily seems to have reached a special maturity, which has allowed her to expand her small IG column in which she talked about books, little more than a social divertissement, into a real successful side business. We have already explored her first dazzling article for “The Cut”, in which she talked about the difficult and turbulent relationship with her professional image and the abuse of her figure by third parties. Now Emily continues with a long reflection on pregnancy, but we are sure she will continue to amaze us with her thoughtful and touching pieces.

Mille congratulazioni!
