It's not long before the debut of the second season of American Crime Story. The costume designer stated that, for the production of the costumes of the series, she avoided the direct involvement of Gianni Versace's family and fashion house. It was not, therefore, a simple undertaking.
Lou Erych went to work buying vintage items from Versace, trying to set up a sort of archive. For what you could not find, no exact copies of the clothes were created, but we tried to stay as faithful as possible to the inspiring brand. In the case of the long dress of Penelope Cruz in the role of Donatella, the latter has contributed to the creation of the dress inspired by a model dating back to 1996. The series has decided to bring the latest Gianni fashion show on television with no less than 17 models.
