Few cartoon characters have reached Minnie Mouse's level of fame.
Founded in 2008 as an experimental jewelry line, which then evolved into unisex prêt-à-porter collections inspired by Tokyo's pop aesthetic, AMBUSH design deserves to be kept an eye on by all street style enthusiasts.
Commenting on today's announcement, Creative Director YOON said: “I have always been a huge fan of UNIQLO. Collaborating in the creation of a UT line in which my vision of AMBUSH is combined with a Disney icon is a dream come true. It will be exciting to see so many people around the world wearing these clothes".
Having seen the preview, we can only agree.
The Minnie bow, in two different shades, decorates co-ord pieces and oversized shirts, but also coats, parkas, bags and caps. Light pink and mint green are the colors chosen by the designers for four consecutive years in the top 500 of influential people in fashion from Business of Fashion. A hand-drawn heart, a universal symbol of love, makes the pieces even more unmissable.
The collection will be on sale in the Milan store from Friday 27th February and then on the UNIQLO website.
