Model Identikit: @iamashantinicole

“Enough is enough”

By Giulietta Riva

These are difficult days for the whole world. Among the peaceful riots that alternate with the violent, the unanimous support on online platforms shouts loudly. This is the context in which I met Nicole Ashanti from the look that transpires pride: of her origins, of her work, of her appearance, of her color.

The disdain he shows towards the episodes that orbit the black culture is not incomprehensible. The harshness with which Nicole expresses the concepts that many are approaching is synonymous with great decision and promptness.

We are BLACK LADIES!..... We build .... We don’t tear down other BLACK LADIES.... We have felt the pain of being torn down and we have have decided we will be deliberate about building others! If I didn’t tag you please don’t be offended. I tried to pick people I thought would do this challenge!! All too often, we LADIES find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let’s do something positive!!🌸Upload 1 picture of yourself...ONLY you. Then tag as many SISTERS to do the same. Let’s build ourselves up, instead of tearing ourselves down. 💜💜COPY AND PASTE💜💜 If I tagged you, don’t disappoint me!!

The protagonist of the month is divided between Milan, Paris, New York, London and Los Angeles and is, as "Model Identikit" wants her to be, a model standing on multiple catwalks. To all the cities that belong to it, it seems to prefer New York and Los Angeles.

Sinuous, elegant and ironic, I imagine Nicole as a source of immense energy. A contagious and customary laugh to start dancing in the middle of the street, out of nowhere: pour jouer.

A sincere soul and ready to take the field for what makes sense. She is the friend of the group who is not afraid to stand up for or against you, to scold you if you deserve it and to let your guard down if no longer needed.

“Enough is enough”.
