The Talent TV that has no age

Orietta Berti, Mara Maionchi and Sandra Milo: three first women of the show go on holiday in Spain, Sky series, between jokes and situations sometimes regrettable. 240 years old in three: and they do not prove them

By

Will there be a reason if Gianni Morandi, born in 1944, placed third at the recent Sanremo Festival putting in a row a series of young people, intent only on the look and not inclined to the "bel canto"? The same reason why the current generation of sixteen-year-olds know all the songs of the same Morandi that are sung from the 60’s onwards, or talent.

In the world of the Arts “le enfant prodige” is a species now extinct if characters like Jane Fonda, Ellen Mirren, Tony Bennett and many other people over seventy can resist the pressure of time; think of Mike Jagger who at the threshold of eighty years faces yet another European tour with Rolling Stone.

Do not think that talent alone can be enough to stay on the crest of the wave for so many decades: passion, character, a pinch of luck and a lot of study are needed. To return to Morandi, when in the early 70s his star suddenly darkened, he took refuge in the Conservatory to graduate in harpsichord; then he came back great, much more prepared since the Music is much more than a single agreement and is getting, in the last forty years, a success and above all an affection, from a public generationally transversal, more than deserved. But like him you can mention Vanoni, Zanicchi and other beloved characters of the show, including cinema and theater.

And what could be more delicious for the audience when the Arts contaminate giving rise to irresistible performances? It’s the case of “Quelle brave ragazze”,, broadcast on Sky, with Orietta Berti, Mara Maionchi and Sandra Milo. Received with superficial irony, since the three ladies are almost 240 years old together, has immediately conquered the public thanks to the continuous jokes, sometimes grotesque situations and the immense self-irony that the protagonists flaunt during a holiday tour in Spain. Three talents, each in his own field, basically three antidivas including Milo, who, having lived the golden age of Italian cinema, continues to live like in a fairy tale.

Orietta Berti, new commander of the Republic, attended 12 editions of the Sanremo Festival, sold about 20 million records and last year was the protagonist of the singing summer with the catchphrase “Mille”, sung with Fedez and Achille Lauro: two young born old, with improbable voices.

Mara Maionchi is endowed with a particular talent: she discovers musical talents. In addition to dealing with all the great artists of Italian music, she discovered and launched calibers such as Gianna Nannini, Eduardo De Crescenzo, Mango and finally Tiziano Ferro. She uses the vernacular not as offense but as interlayer and this makes her television atypical and popularly sympathetic.

Sandra Milo, well is the Milo we are already in the legend!

Here I allow myself a personal memory: “I was the director of Sandra Milo, Rai Due, for three years and she, as well as Jean Louis Trintignant, were the most professional and courteous people I have ever met in show business. On the set of an exemplary punctuality, rigged and ready to take for any time was the convocation and almost always meant the dawn. I never say a whim, never a puff, always with the smile of those who are happy to live this profession. Always a polite thought or a right suggestion for colleagues in the set or editorial staff. A satisfying joy to work with people of such talent and as much humility. But above all, how many laughs!”
