The capsule collection by Miranda Makaroff for Desigual

Illustrations celebrating freedom of expression

By

In the middle of spring, the season of nature's awakening, Desigual gives us a collection that pays homage to the freedom signed by the Spanish illustrator Miranda Makaroff.

Unstructured sexual symbols in the background and an aphrodisiac nature inspired the prints of the 70s models that make up the collection. The muse for Miranda's creative process was Eva, the first woman, the one who taught us the meaning of freedom and pleasure, to whom the collection is dedicated.

Makaroff's designs take shape in Ibiza, therapeutically, and then move from paper to clothes. The tees, trousers and shirts of the collection give dynamism to wild figures, in communion with nature, celebrating human freedom.

The range of colors, Miranda underlines, is not limited to pink, but includes many shades that symbolize the contrasts found in nature. Love, he says, is being able to accept and embrace all these aspects of reality and of the human being.

But that's not all: behind the pantheistic philosophy and the exaltation of femininity, there is an important gesture to make fashion sustainable. Organic cotton and ecoVero fabric are in fact the protagonists of the looks. After all, nature is the starting point of the Desigual collection.

You can choose a co-ord set, an accessory or a unique piece for your spring wardrobe by Makaroff on the Desigual website. Ready for spring awakening?
