The brand to discover this month: Lirika Matoshi

You’ll think you are daydreaming, between mythological creatures, magical atmosphere and wild beautiful nature

By

A young designer of collant and choker necklaces

As a young designer, Lirika started designing chokers, gloves, and headpieces. When she was 20 years old, she moved from Kosovo to New York City trying to attend the FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). After a negative result, she decided to launch her own line, totally customized.

Attualmente Lirika Matoshi ha sede fissa a New York ed ha incluso tra le sue creazioni nuovi accessori e una linea di abbigliamento.

Now Lirika Matoshi’s showroom is located in New York, and she added to her collection new creations and a clothing line.

Please, use with caution the brand discovering function, because you will probably want everything. Totally!

And just in a second... for breakfast you will put on the first thing found in the closet.

The Lirika Matoshi brand chose an internal policy focused on women. She has create a staff, between the showroom in New York and the production factory in Kosovo, made by 100% by women. The reason is to give space to talent and to provide an opportunity for comparison and growth.

Collant, girl power and sensuality

Lirika said that she started to customize tights after she found a pair of fishnet in her closet. She was making a visual test and placing flowers on the fishnet. The thighs are a tribute to women's legs, sensuality and the ability to always get up. Everything started just for fun. That’s the beauty of it!

Lirika was inspired by nature and magical worlds and she created original pieces that soon also became masterpieces. If you want to put them on, be careful. It is also important to be able to take yourself lightly.

Curiosity

In Italy the first thighs were produced by Rhodiatoce, with the brand called Nailon Rhodiatoce – Scala d'Oro. In the 60s Spandex was invented, it is a synthetic polyurethane fiber that allowed greater elasticity of the fabrics.

At the end, 14 kilometers of nylon are needed to produce a pair of classic thighs.
