Two days ago @diet_prada posted a shocking story regarding Britney Spears’ career.
It seems that in the last twelve years Britney became victim of her record company, as well as of her mean dad.
She was only a child when she started her successful path towards success, starring in the Mickey Mouse Club, together with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
Britney’s voice was very deep and powerful, similar to Christina’s, and the label forced her to sing differently, mimicking the voice of a baby girl, in order to shape her as a modern Lolita.
Many of her videos, including Circus, Piece of Me and Gimme More, all seem to hide a secret meaning. She’s often shot in cage-like sets, sometimes in chains, symbolizing her enslaved relationship with the record industry. She cannot sing live, otherwise her real voice would come out and her myth would disappear.
After her 2007 extreme meltdown, things actually got worse. Her father asked for the custody of Britney’s children and also has a conservatorship over Britney herself, who’s therefore unable of doing also the simplest things. He controls her career, her income and her future works.
She was diagnosed with a partial dementia, and she’s not allowed to go out for a Starbucks cappuccino nor to drive her children to school. However, in recent times she gained millions of dollars from her Las Vegas residency, her role as an X Factor’s judge, the records she sold.
How is it even possible that such an ill person, who deserves time to heal and a quiet lifestyle, cannot spend time with her family but embarks herself on a world tour?
Take care Britney, we love you so much.
