It is Takahiro Miyashita with his brand TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. the new Converse collaboration. Together they have in fact developed a sneaker with a silhouette inspired by Jack Purcell. The Converse model has a history spanning 85 years and was designed and worn by the badminton champion from whom it takes its name. The shoe features a "Stars and Bars" graphic on the upper, introduced by Converse in 1991. On the tongue, the archetypal slogan of the boutique brand reads, "I am the Soloist".
Together with the sneakers, the collaboration includes a little capsule of rebel clothing that is minimalist and provocative at the same time. We find the element of GORE-TEX® and those of the utilitary style as eyelets or hinges that make the transformation of clothes packable and editable.
The Converse x TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSolist. capsules will be launched globally on May 23rd on Converse.com, with articles ranging from €75 to €400. The pack will also be available at TheSoloist. pop-up shop that will take place from July 28 to 165 on Hudson Street, from 11:00 to 19:00 from Tuesday to Saturday and from 12:00 to 18:00 on Sunday.
