Cecilia and Zeno are cool, young and very matchy. Since an exciting journey to South Korea was approaching, they found themselves surfing the Instagram, looking at the profiles of those young Korean couples who made coordinated outfits a thing. They decided to replicate this idea and accepted a 30-days challenge of matching outfits.
That month was all about influencing each other, talking about looks, experimenting and creating a very sophisticated IG feed which is an ode to soft colors and perfect outfit combos. They both work in the fashion industry, and that’s another reason why they surely took the challenge seriously.
Despite having kind of diverging styles, Cecilia being more minimal and Zeno more bizarre, they found a ten on ten coordination. And the balance between their opposites sides made them reach the perfect outfits. Thus their @thedailymatch profile is born.
So read our interview to get to know them better:
You have a very cool aesthetic! What inspires you? Cecilia: We have a very different aesthetic. Zeno loves everything that is bold and extravagant. I, on the other hand, love what is minimal and clean, at least at the moment, my style changes often. But we both love vintage and when we travel we always go in search of unique pieces. Personally I am inspired daily by what I see online, I follow many girls on Instagram whose style I love and I think I am partly influenced by it. Zeno: Thanks! The inspirations are varied: film, music, art or photography exhibitions, travels. We like to go shopping online and shoot vintage markets. We like to shop together and advise each other on pieces that might look good on us. We don't want to buy disposable clothes, so we always look for beautiful and lasting things and, above all, different from those we already have!Visualizza questo post su Instagram
Where do you start to choose a perfect match outfit? Cecilia: It depends. Sometimes from a garment that we bought the same and we build our outfit starting from that. Other times we choose a color and go looking in our closet in the hope of finding something that lends itself to our idea. We don't have a rule but we follow our inspiration of the day! Zeno: Every shot has its own story: sometimes we start with a print that appeals to both, sometimes from a combination of colors or a theme. Sometimes we simply like one another's looks and we copy each other. Some looks are perfect at first sight, but they are rare cases! Almost everyone hides a lot of discarded looks. In some cases even the piece from which the inspiration started is not present in the final look.Visualizza questo post su Instagram
Has this experience somehow changed your relationship? Cecilia: We have certainly understood that we can also work well as a "working" couple. Last year we started creating our own brand of fabric bags, Ophelia, which at the moment we left a little aside. Who knows, maybe one day, when we can find the time and the necessary determination, something good can be born. For now we are content to share our passion and vision of fashion with those who like to follow us. Zeno: Honestly it is a project that was born in a very spontaneous and natural way. We are both passionate about fashion and a bit vain. We like art, take pictures and experiment with looks. The first thirty consecutive days were a fairly demanding challenge, making us a stronger and more determined couple. Now he has entered our everyday life. We often dress matching, even if we don't take a picture to capture it, but every time we know we can take a camera and tripod with us we take the opportunity to take a look in a new location. It's very rewarding, motivating and makes us feel like a close-knit couple.Visualizza questo post su Instagram
