Instagram vs Reality phenomenon is highly explored by the satirical yet kinda disengaged @giudim_public, a Moscow-based illustrator, whose surrealist images in comic bubbles contributed to create one of the best Insta feeds you can find. His drawings, halfway between vignettes and memes, go from the detail to the wider view, and with an upside-down perspective the artist underlines today’s major problems, contradictions and habits. The illustrator goes from socially committed strips to way less serious ones. The sleepy man wrapped around his blankets like a caterpillar rises and shines as a beautiful butterfly who flies on his way to work the morning after, but also the moon shaped like a coin which appears from a piggybank that resembles the Earth... dreamy and fairy suggestions, but also exhilarating ones (check out his strip on the origin of ripped jeans) create a great profile. His love for Surrealism is already professed in his profile picture, a combo of a Magritte painting and the photo of a cute bunny.
