Ariana Grande pays homage to Audrey Hepburn's timeless elegance for her wedding

Details on the "secret" wedding

By Alessia Amorosini

Us…curios people were losing all hope of being able to glimpse some more details about Ariana Grande's wedding, surrendering to the confidentiality of the great event in question.

The ceremony took place on May 15th, in great secrecy and among a few close friends, in the singer's luxurious Montecito residence. The news was only leaked to fans a few days later, but without too much information.

Yesterday, Ariana pleasantly surprised us, sharing some romantic pictures on social media that portray her in love with her husband Dalton Gomez, a former dancer and now a real estate agent.

The love between the two only blossomed in 2020, the magic happened during the lockdown that in a short time bound them inextricably, to the point of leading to the fateful “yes, I do”.

But ... I want to be honest with you, my passion for fashion meant that what most aroused my curiosity about the event was the bride's dress and I wondered: “Did she opt for the classic white dress?” Which super designer will have dressed the pop star? " “Jewelry and shoes?” “The hairstyle instead?” “And what about the make-up?”.

All my questions now finally have an answer!

First of all, yes, she chose a delicate white dress, slightly pearly, by Vera Wang.

The partnership with the designer was already consolidated during the Met Gala of 2018 with the dress called “Sistine Chapel”, faithful reproduction of the characters of Michelangelo's Last Judgment.

Precisely on this occasion, the two women would have sealed the pact for the marriage and so it was! The sober and refined silk satin dress features a sweetheart bodice and a deep and structured back neckline, which provides that touch of sensuality without overdoing it.

A mid-length veil with a bow completes the look and, if you think you've already seen a similar combination, you're not wrong! It is in fact a tribute to the timeless diva Audrey Hepburn, in the film “Cinderella in Paris”.

And speaking of Cinderella, no crystal shoes for Ariana, who opted instead for her beloved platform close-toe by Giuseppe Zanotti, in a “white satin” version for the occasion. The heel is truly dizzying, yet the groom towers over Ariana, an adorable real life example of the motto “the important thing is not to be tall but to be being up to it!”

For jewelry, Ariana opted for Lorraine Schwartz's pearl and diamond earrings, always classy and never not trendy (worth around a million dollars).

But let's move on to beauty: to prepare for the ceremony, the personal glam team of the star's concerts was summoned. Make-up artist Ash K Holm opted for a natural look with neutral tones and the inevitable black eyeliner.

The hairstyle? Well yes, even for her big day Ariana could not say no to her half-up ponytail, her trademark, masterpiece of hairdresser Josh Liu.

Ariana has also decided to cover some of her many body tattoos, opting for a more “traditional and conservative” effect.

Oh… the groom instead wore a dark Tom Ford total look with a tie and a white shirt, in case you were wondering. Sorry Dalton, but Ariana stole the show, as always!

Long live the newlyweds and we just have to wish that Ariana no longer has to say “thank u, next”!
