GoodbyeYahoo Answers, weird questions’ happy place

It’s been one of the most heartbreaking news of the Internet era

By

A semi-serious place in which to find both the answers to math equations and the recipes for making hot water, Yahoo Answers has been an essential generational phenomenon for today's kids and young adults.

Since we will miss it so much, we decided to search for 10 fun questions that will make us take a last nostalgic trip.

Is Australia in Europe?”

A very confused user wonders if Australia belongs to the old continent. We would very much like to be able to do get to Sydney in a couple of hours, but I'm afraid we need at least 22 more.

“Why do women have to wear bras?”

This is a more than legitimate question, and one that finds many different schools of thought. Are you a bra team or a #freethenipple team?

“Has Justin Bieber gotten ugly over the years?”

Clearly this fan is not a true Belieber (like myself), who have always supported Justin since day 1, from his questionable early bowl cut to Yummy's pinkish dye. Justin’s always beautiful, no matter what.

“Why didn't the Macedonians / Greek try to raise another army to try to fight again after the battle of Pydna?”

This user’s hopelessly devastated by how the tables turned back in ancient history. Although more than two thousand years have passed, it is still not possible to come to terms with the fact that the Romans defeated the Greeks. If it's any consolation, someone answered with an "Ikr?!?!”, meaning that we are never alone in our Hamletic (and war) doubts.

“During the week how many times do you eat fish?”

This is a polysemic question. If you mean the catch, I don't know how many fish people actually eat in a week, hopefully not too many. If you mean other types of fish, this is a very sassy question.

“How to marry Maria Sharapova?”

Mesmerized by the Grand Slams, this user fell in love with the beautiful Russian tennis player, now residing in Miami. We suggest a super bank account, knowing how to rattle off a few romantic phrases in Russian, and a very elegant one-handed reverse.

“Are chiwawas really dogs?”

Questionable spelling aside, of course Chihuahuas are dogs! Delete this question ASAP or Paris Hilton will haunt you in your dreams!

“What is the character of the Molisans in general?”

Niche application, for true amateurs of the Italian regions. I guess they’re fine.

“Is the sign of Leo or Taurus smarter?”

Last, but not least, a question from which I felt called into question, being a Taurus. The answers hang mostly on my side, but then I saw the one marked at the top. A user replied: “Taurus (K. Marx, S.Freud)”. The examples aren't quite the best, but we Taurus appreciate the support.
