Acrimònia IGirl: @makemystylezk

Seventeen years old, a sewing machine and a deep passion: the world of fashion.

By

@makemystylezk, alias Zita Krier is a high school student in Aix-en-Provence. Using her mother's sewing machine, she makes clothes inspired by the great fashion designers: YSL, Chanel and Dior are among the many big names on her instagram profile. Zita imitates, unmakes the everyday clothes that are at her disposal, sews and becomes the model for her posts, wearing the outfits she creates. A trench coat that turns into a pair of shorts, trousers that become a bustier... Who wouldn't want to see their wardrobe transformed into a fashion show look?

At only 14 years old, Zita started an internship for the school and decided to try and follow her dream. After sending out more than thirty CVs, she got a job at Marine Serre. Here, despite being young, she began to approach the world of fashion and found an environment that took her seriously.

Constancy and determination help Zita, in the autumn of 2019, to join the Saint Laurent Foundation in Marrakech. Shortly before the lockdown of this particular year, she sends out requests to participate in the shows of the Paris fashion week: many are the brands she applies to, few the answers she receives.

There is no surmountable obstacle when you want to achieve your goals, and Zita (or ZK, as she signs her creations) is trying hard to realise her vocation, even though she knows that the world of fashion is difficult to access.

I'd keep an eye on her: who knows if her stubbornness will lead her to head up the many imitated brands or even make hers a famous one! All I can do is cross my fingers for her. Come on Zita, passion, skills and hard work always pay off!
