We asked a Money Coach dedicated exclusively to women what it means to have a good relationship with money

Women and money: a taboo that we struggle to break down

By ,

Flanking women and money is still today, at the dawn of 2021, considered a taboo. Economic independence on the pink front still remains an unresolved knot the result of a cultural heritage that often leads to rash, inappropriate, redundant deductions (women and money = prostitutes).

The times, however, somehow make way for themselves and in their evolution they drive away bad habits. New realities of women are born in support of other women and this is the case of Diara Diallo, Money Coach, founder of the project “Regine di Denari”, who told us what it means for a woman to make financial education, have a good relationship with money and trust in the ability to manage them well.

“Regine di Denari” is an ambitious project that deals with a topic that in our country is still unconsciously (or consciously) considered a taboo: money and women in correlation. How was it born?

The project “Regine di Denari” was born in March 2018 from the desire to create a resource in Italian that talked about money to women. I realized that I couldn’t be the only woman who had problems with money and that by helping myself I could help others.

The very positive feedback pushed me to go beyond the simple blog and podcast. I then trained with the Money Coaching Institute in the United States and started offering individual courses to make my relationship with money better.

Diara, you sell a service exclusively for women: why?

I am a feminist and I want to contribute to achieving gender equality. I think every woman needs to be financially independent to be able to be, do and get what she wants.

It’s not enough just to do financial education. It is also important to have a good relationship with money and trust in our ability to manage it well.

#risparmio #risparmiare #obiettivifinanziari #soldi #budget #empowerment #costanza #finanzapersonale #abbondanza #crescitafinanziaria #crescitaeconomica #indipendenzaeconomica #indipendenzafinanziaria #donneitaliane #donnaindipendente

Who more between women and men have a troubled relationship with money?

Regardless of gender, many individuals have a troubled relationship with money. There are people doing my job all over the world so it’s a widespread problem.

Much progress has been made in the economic emancipation of women, but we also see the legacy of the past. Just think that there are women who work but do not have their own bank account to manage independently.

For a long time women were relegated to the domestic sphere and capitalism does not recognize the economic value of the domestic and care work carried out predominantly by women free of charge.

They therefore tend to delegate important financial choices and risk finding themselves in a situation of economic weakness or suffering economic violence.

Just think.

In this regard, I recommend looking at the Global Thinking Foundation commercial that highlights how devious economic violence is:

It is a project that partly touches the psychological sphere of the people you interact with. Is it a responsibility you are ready to take on?

The theme of money is very delicate. I never judge and I never blame my clients. My job is to offer them a safe space to explore their relationship with money and help them see things from a different perspective. In case of pathological behavior I would be the first to tell them to contact a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist.

I train and compare myself for my colleagues so that I am more prepared.

Why the name “Regine di Denari”?

It is a name that has imposed itself to me. I think it comes from my grandmother who loved the tarot cards of Marseilles. I never used them and when I searched for the meaning of the “Regine di Denari” I saw that it was in line with what I wanted for women. The “Regina di Denari” is a rich woman who manages her money well and also uses it to help others. She is smart and confident.

I want every woman to become and feel like a queen of money because the world needs the female contribution more than ever. Rich, conscious women will change the world.

#fareiprezzi #preventivi #andiamoalsodo #vitadafreelance #vitaveradafreelance #donnefreelance #donneimprenditrici #imprenditoriafemminile #donneincarriera #liberaprofessionista #crescitapersonalefemminile #crescitapersonalealfemminile #impresaalfemminile #fareimpresaalfemminile #donnecheaiutanoledonne #donnecheaiutanodonne #imprenditricisidiventa #donneitaliane #donnaindipendente #mettersiinproprio #mettersiingioco #lavoroinproprio #solopreneur

What is the evolution of a project with infinite potential already in an embryonic state? How will “Regine di Denari” be in two years?

I have big plans for the future. In 2021 I will propose a path of personal finance and I want to create an online school of financial education that reconciles the emotional and practical aspects of money. It will be a safe online space to learn and share. The purpose is twofold. Create a community of women that inspires and supports each other. Increase the financial, insurance and social security culture, teach how to best manage money and create a financial plan for the future.

I will collaborate with experienced teachers in their field who will also offer personalized advice.
